Who We Are...
Georgia Pet Foundation was established as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization in April 2016 when Governor Deal signed legislation approving the new tag.

In 2023, almost 20,000 pets were euthanized due to overpopulation and lack of space in overcrowded shelters. Since Covid, the dumping of companion animals, has increased dramatically.
In addition to the Georgia Pet Foundation license plate program, we also focus on public education initiatives to increase community awareness of the benefits of spaying and neutering Georgia's pets.

By purchasing a "Georgia Pet Foundation license plate", you help fund free and/or low-cost spay/neuter programs across the state.
